News about our services

Arabic Welfare continues to operate during COVID-19 with some changes to our service delivery.

To ensure the safety of our staff, community and clients, all core services are currently being delivered by phone and online only.

Beirut crisis and Arabic Welfare support

During these incredibly difficult times, Arabic Welfare continues to operate and is here to provide the support needed.

This challenging time is affecting all of us and it is normal to experience a range of emotions. Talking to someone and feeling connected is incredibly important. We encourage our community to reach out and look after each other.

As a result of the devastating incident in Beirut, Arabic Welfare has allocated dedicated staff to help address the needs of our community. We are offering counselling, information and other support for you and your family.

If you are finding it difficult to cope or just need someone to talk to for information or support, please call Arabic Welfare on 9380 9536 to set up an appointment with one of our bilingual staff. If you are concerned about friends and family in Lebanon, please contact the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade on 1300 555 135.

Arabic Welfare has also partnered with the Australian Lebanese Medical Association (ALMA) to raise funds to provide essential food parcels for those affected by the crisis in Beirut and Lebanon. If you would like to  make a donation, please see details on the ALMA site.
